Debra M. Lafayette

Summerville —  Debra Marie Lafayette 54, of Summerville went home to be with our Lord, with her sister Cheryl by her side on Thursday October 25, 2012, after a battle with cancer. Debra was born in St. Augustine, Florida on February 11, 1958. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Debra traveled the roads of Summerville on her yellow moped visiting family and friends. She was a real care giver and will be sadly missed. Debra was the daughter of the late Sidney and Doris Hamilton. She is survived by her sister Cheryl A. Murray, nephew Bryan J. Murray, niece Lisa M. Murray, great nephew Hayden P. Murray, all of Summerville,  1 aunt and 7 cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Trust Credit Union under Cheryl A. Murray

    Debbie, I have learned so much from you. I am proud to call you my sister. I miss you not being with me on Sunday morning in church. I will miss you not popping up on your moped, to visit Hayden and us. Remember what I told you sweetie, as you went thru that valley, Jesus was on the other side. Now you not only have a room but a mansion. One day I’ll see you again. I miss you so much Debbie—- I love you always your sister Cheryl.

    Debbie, the Lord put you in my life for such a short time. But you filled that time with so many great memories. I know that you are so happy in Heaven with our Lord, but the ones that are left behind miss you so much. I keep waiting for you to call me and say ” Good Morning Sunshine” even if it was 2 AM.. You just wanted to be heard didn’t you sweetie. We will be seeing each other again. Thank you for the many many smiles that we shared together.. There is a empty spot in my heart.
