  • Maria Ernest says:

I extend my deepest sympathy to the Busam family. My mother, Maria Pollner Ernest, was an apprentice hair stylist with Herman’s father, Hugo, and became a friend of the family. I remember visiting with “Grandma” VanZeilen when I was a child after having my hair styled by Mr. Hugo. “Gramdma” would offer me a glass of apricot nectar and crescent-shaped cookies. I never met Herman though I was close to his age. Thank you for posting Herman’s notice in the Rochester NY paper.
