RIP UNCLE JOHN! I don’t know why the good, pleasant, down to earth people in our family have to suffer and die, while the miserable self centered wretches go on. You were one of the good ones. What I would do to sit down with you, Joey, Dorothy, Marilyn, my father again. A thousand and one fantastic memories have crossed my mind the past two days. Thank you for being there for my mother and all the great conversations. I know you suffered immensely. May your soul be at peace. I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU FOREVER!

I don’t know where to begin Uncle John… the way you ALWAYS made me laugh, the time you picked me up from school when I was sick and took care of me, even though you were only in your 20’s, how you let my brother and I pretend to drive your cool sports car or being the flower girl at your wedding. You were the coolest uncle that a little kid, (now old kid) ever had! I will never forget you and so many memories will be in my mind and my heart, always. You didn’t deserve what happened to you. Many you rest in peace with God by your side and all the loved ones we have lost.

    DEAR JOHN

GONE TOO SOON DEFINITELY APPLIES TO YOU. YOU WERE ALWAYS SO KIND AND PATIENT. THAT’S WHAT I REMEMBER MOST ABOUT YOU. WHEN WE WERE KIDS, AND YOU WERE OLDER THAN ME SO I WAS THE PESKY COUSIN, MY DAD HAD A PING PONG TABLE DOWN THE BASEMENT. WHEN YOU CAME TO VISIT, WE PLAYED PING PONG AND I REMEBER YOU ALWAYS BEING SO PATIENT WITH ME WHEN WE PLAYED THE GAME. I ALWAYS LIKED WHEN YOU CAME TO VISIT. THEN AS WE GREW OLDER AND I WAS GETTING MARRIED, I ASKED YOU TO BE A GROOMSMAN AT MY WEDDING BECAUSE I FELT THAT BOND WITH YOU; YOU WERE AN IMPORTANT PERSON IN MY LIFE. WHEN WE GOT TOGETHER, AND IT WASN’T VERY OFTEN, WE WOULD ALWAYS LAUGH AND JUST RELAX AND ENJOY OUR VISITS. YOU WERE A PEOPLE PERSON WITHOUT A DOUBT. YOU LOVED YOUR FRIENDS AND YOUR FAMILY. WE CAN ALL TAKE COMFORT IN THE FACT THAT WE HAD THE BEST–THE BEST FRIEND, HUSBAND, FATHER, COUSIN, UNCLE, BROTHER–YOU WILL BE MISSED.
    LOVE YOU, KATHY
