Still surviving she has two sisters Peggy Lougheed, and Joan Tawes , five neices , Lisa, Lori, Linda, Peggy, and Nancy  and three nephews Glen, Bruce and Robbie. Not to forget her loving companion (ELLIE) her white schnauzer.  She will always be remembered as the family matriarch, who always wished the bond between family to be stong and true.  A strong, independent, hardworking, trustworthy, loyal, dedicated, honest, loving and caring woman she was.

She will be truly missed but never forgotten!

Her footprint in life may not be that large, but the impact of her life with us will always be with those who knew her.  She received a gift of life this year from The American Red Cross.  Donations may be made to The Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, or The Humane Society her personal favorite, in her memory.

    Dear Mike and Alexes:

We were very sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. We remember her fondly.

We know she loved animals and we have happily made a $50 on-line contribution to the Charleston Animal Society in her memory.
