Obituary of Donna Mundy

Donna Mundy (Jeffcoat) Seabrook Island, SC – Donna Mundy (Jeffcoat), 71 of Seabrook Island, South Carlina, widow of Max Mundy, entered into eternal rest on March 17th, 2018. Donna was born September 12, 1946, daughter of the late Hazel and Ralph Delk. Donna was a former teacher. For the last thirty years, she had worked with programs focusing on the transition from school to work/post-secondary education of students with disabilities nationally. She was the recipient of numerous local, state and national awards/recognition: to include the Florida Department of Education State Transition Champion Award, the 2008 National Donn Brolin Award for State Leadership and Service from the Division of Career and Technical Education. Donna also provided pro-bono consultant services for non-profit organizations. She was a member of Church of Our Saviour, Johns Island; the Council on Exceptional Education; National Dropout Prevention Center and charter member of the Volunteer Florida Governor’s Inclusion Council. She is survived by her son, David Jeffcoat, Jr. (Beth) of Johns Island, SC; sister-in-law, Daphin Delk of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren: Charlotte Jeffcoat Stegall (Wade) of Johns Island, SC; DJ Jeffcoat of Charleston, SC, and Jason Jeffcoat, Johns Island, SC; and great-granddaughters: Hayley Stegall and Anna Beth Stegall of Johns Island, SC. A service at the Burial Ground at St. Christopher, Seabrook Island, to be held at a later date.
