Obituary of Katrina Hackworth
Katrina Croft Hackworth, 52, wife of Jerry Hackworth, passed away at home on Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Holly Hill, SC.
Katrina was born in Charleston, SC on December 9, 1965, to the late Charles M. Croft (Kenny), and Phyllis Bair Croft of Johns Island.
She graduated from the University of SC and began working for Charleston County Parks. She went on to work as the clerk of court for the town of Harleyville.
Katrina enjoyed serving at Holly Hill Academy, working in her yard planting flowers, and was very active in her church. One of her greatest joys was packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. She and Jerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards and dominoes. Her faith in the Lord and the love of Calvary Baptist Church during her struggle with breast cancer, brought her great delight and blessing.
Katrina is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jerry Hackworth, their two children, Hunter Hackworth and Ashlen Hackworth, both of Holly Hill, and her sister, Belinda C. Roberts, her husband Frazier, and son Matthew of Johns Island. Her uncle, Ray Bair of Orangeburg, and her aunt, Janet C. Griffin, of Charleston. Her family also includes her mother-in-law, Ruby Hackworth, and three sisters -in-law, Evelyn Infinger and her husband Carl, of Harleyville, Regina Mayer and husband Jahnathan, of Walterboro, Tammy Crimes and husband Carl, of North Carolina. Her two brothers in law are Steve Hackworth and wife Christy, of Moncks Corner, and Todd Hackworth of Holly Hill, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening
from 6pm until 8pm at
Simplicity Lowcountry Burial Services, 281 Treeland Dr. Ladson, SC, 29456.
Funeral services will be held at
Calvary Baptist Church
from 5pm until 6pm at
1555 S. Live Oak Drive
