Obituary of William Kendrick Smith

Kendrick Smith, known to his family as “Uncle Shrek” and later “Grampa Shrek” passed away on May 19th, 2018 at the age of 53 after Leukemia Relapse.

He was a native of Chapin, SC now residing in Goose Creek, SC. Kendrick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved riding his Harley, shooting guns, building and creating and gardening, cooking and traveling with his wife. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a jokester and also a loving companion. His presence will be missed everyday.

Kendrick is survived by his adoring wife of 12 years, Becca (Rodriguez), sons Storm and David, daughter Ali (Tim) Garrett, grandchildren Allana and Aiden Garrett, sisters Parma Smith and Wendy (Tim )Ballard, countless nieces and nephews, and his parents Richard and Judith Smith.

A memorial will be held to honor Kendrick on Thursday, May 31st 2018 at 5 p.m. at Northwood Church (4020 2nd Avenue, Summerville, SC 29486).
