Obituary of Olla Oweta Phillips Buie

Olla Oweta Buie, 89, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away May 24, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1929 in Dunn, North Carolina to Claude and Gertrude (Edge) Phillips.

Mrs. Buie was a longtime member of Bethany Methodist Church and the local Eastern Star Summerville Chapter Number 143.

Olla is survived by her husband of 52 years, William H. Buie; her sisters, Alma E. Strickland of Four Oaks, NC and Lossie Phillips Small (Ben); several nieces and nephews; and her caregivers, Shirley Robertson and Sarah Alfton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

A private service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC. Memorials may be made in her honor to Bethany Methodist Church (118 W. 3rd S. St, Summerville, SC 29483.)
