Obituary of Julinda Holland Maricle

Julinda Holland Maricle, 38, of Goose Creek, SC passed away Friday June 15, 2018 at Vibra hospital of Mount Pleasant. 

Julinda, whom her father nicknamed “Kool”, was born in Greenville, North Carolina on April 24^th, 1980 To Johnny Lee and Jennifer Heath Holland of Tarboro, NC.  Julinda graduated from Tarboro High School in 1998, and attended Eastern Carolina University for a short time, ultimately graduating from ECPI of Raleigh, NC, earning her license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).  During her career, she worked in several locations, including Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC and as a per diem nurse at the Transitional Care Unit in Vibra Hospital of Mount Pleasant, SC.

In 2004, Julinda married Richard Allen Maricle of Norwich, NY in Gibsonville, NC.  The couple lived in Charlotte, NC, Fort Bragg, NC, Summerville, SC, Daniel Island, SC, and ultimately Goose Creek, SC as Richard’s military and civilian career dictated.  Julinda was the proud wife of a soldier who kept their lives and love together through multiple deployments and training missions.  She was a fierce defender of her friends and family and loved with all of her heart.  Julinda was a daddy’s girl, and no one could call her by the nickname that he gave her except him.  She will be missed by many, but the family is comforted by the fact that she is now in her fathers embrace.

Julinda is survived by her husband, Richard of Goose Creek, SC, her mother, Jennifer Heath Holland of Goose Creek SC, her beloved dogs Joseph and Ellie Mae, and many wonderful friends and coworkers that she has touched throughout the years.

Julinda is predeceased by her father, Johnny Lee Holland and her grandmothers Daphne Grimes Heath and Dorothea Alice Holland.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Summerville Medical Center Emergency room and ICU for their utmost professionalism and caring throughout her ordeal.  The family would also like to thank the Nurses and doctors of the Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit of Vibra hospital for their compassion, caring, and attention as Julinda went through this ordeal.

Services will be held June 30^th, 2018 at 1 PM at the Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Summerville Chapel located at 281 Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC 29456.
