Obituary of Barbara Morris

Barbara D. Morris, 91, went home to be with the Lord on
November 11, 2018 in Charleston, South Carolina peacefully at her
home surrounded with love. Barbara (Susie) was born in Meadows of
Dan, VA June 29, 1927, to Annanias Dickerson and Eva Puckett
Dickerson. In addition to her parents Barbara is preceded in death by
her beloved husband James Howell Morris and beloved son David
Arnold Morris. She is survived by her three children: Hilda Morris of
Charleston, SC, Johnny Morris of Murrels Inlet, SC and Jeanne Andrews
of Martinsville, VA; six grandchildren: Heath Derrick of Marietta, GA,
Jeremiah Morris, Amber Tankersley, John Foster of Stuart, VA, Eddie
and Angela Williams of Cullman, AL, Chad Morris of Houston, TX and
several great grandchildren, sister Virginia Willard of Stuart, VA and
longtime friends Brook Billmeyer and Lisa Kluge.
Barbara (Susie) was known for her compassionate spirit. Her life
was full of adventures, laughter and she genuinely loved her family and
friends, and was so forgiving of everyone. Barbara never met a stranger
and had a heart of gold, that will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held later at Meadows of Dan Baptist
Church. Donations in Barbara's memory may be sent to Meadows of
Dan Baptist Church Building Fund, 2511 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Meadows of
Dan, VA 24120.
