Obituary of Jean Palma
Jean Palma, age 90, of Kiawah Island, SC, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, December 10, 2018. She was born on September 14, 1928 in Middletown, Connecticut. She attended New Haven Teachers College prior to meeting the love of her life, James C. Palma, a United States Marine. Jean lived in Northern Virginia and Maryland for many years until retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC with her husband. She spent the last 8 years of her life living on Kiawah Island with her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Jim Flannery.
Jean was full of life and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. She was spirited quick witted and a quite the dancer. She loved spending time at the beach. She was an avid reader and loved her book club friends.
Jean is survived by her daughter Linda Flannery and son-in-law James Flannery, her daughter Jamie Wilburn and son-in-law Chad Wilburn, her Grandchildren Laura and Tim Shannon, Sean and Jess Flannery, Justin McKay, Kristin Shores, Connor Flannery, and Lindsay Flannery, great-grandchildren Mia and Logan Shannon, Rowan Flannery, Benjamin, Lyndi, and Maddox Shores, and her beloved dog Angelo and grand-dog Bailey.
