Obituary of Violet Gooding

Violet Gooding , widow of Hercy Gooding, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29,2018 , 2:00pm at Santee Circle Community Church , Hwy 52, Moncks Corner, SC. Violet was born January 15, 1934 in Charleston, SC. She is survived by four sons, Mike Gooding(Bonnie),Danny Gooding(Sandie), Rodney Gooding,all of Pinopolis and Timmy Gooding(Chan)of Bonneau,SC. Three brothers,Sonny Baker(Carolyn) of Moncks Corner, SC, David Baker of Eugene OR and George Baker(Thelma) of Harleyville,SC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Danyell Law,Danna Clarke,Crystal Fludd,Brad Gooding Nina Saari,Melissa Bauer,Tiffany Gabe.Eight great-grandchildren,Dustin Steen,Dancy Steen, Danika Clarke, Dakota Clarke, Jasmine Matthews, John Matthews, Madelyn Robinson and Cameron Collins and four Great-great grandchildren, Addilyn Davis,Drayton Steen,Emery Floyd,John Floyd. She was preceded in death by her father, David Baker,mother,Elsie Baker, her husband of 64 years, Hercy Gooding, grandson Lucas Gooding, a great-greatgranddaughter Jordyn Elaine Steen and a nephew Thomas Baker. Violet was the backbone of the Gooding family, she will be missed as a Mother, Nana and great-great Nana. We take great comfort in knowing that she is, once again, with her beloved “Hercy”.
