Obituary of Gary Steven Jordan
Gary Steven Jordan, 27, of Summerville, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Monday, February 25, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial.
Steven was born April 3, 1991 in Charleston, SC, son of Jerry McGrew (Kimberly) and Priscilla Jordan. He attended Summerville High School and worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Company when he became sick. He was a devoted father to his little girl, Melany Jordan. Steven enjoyed cooking and working on cars. For several years he enjoyed playing flag football with his team, the RFL. He was skilled with his hands and could take anything apart and put it back together. He had a green thumb and could make any plant grow. He was a talented drawer and dabbled in tattooing. He had a large movie collection that he watched on a regular basis. His number one passion was spending time with his daughter, whom he loved very much.
Steven is survived by his parents, Jerry McGrew (Kimberly) of Summerville and Priscilla Jordan of Charleston; his longtime girlfriend, Brandi Price, and their daughter, Melany Jordan, of Summerville; his grandmother’s Sandra Jordan, of Summerville and Joyce Power (Jarold) of St. George; his grandfather Marshall Strickland of Summerville; his siblings: Christopher McGrew, Laura McGrew, Kelly McGrew of Summerville and Daniel Jordan, Michael Wall and Matthew Wall of Charleston; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Jerry C. McGrew and Bobby Jordan; his grandmother Mary Strickland; and his uncle Michael Jordan.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Steven.
