Obituary of Sarah Catherine Millen

Sarah Catherine Millen, 81, of North Charleston, S.C., Wife of the Late Edward C. Millen Jr., passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 16, 1937 in Branchville S.C. to the late Edward Lee and Doris Mae Fickling Pace.

Sarah was a North Charleston resident for over 60 years. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, her TV show Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck, singer Alan Jackson, cats, birds, animals, her neighbors and especially enjoyed growing and arranging flowers.

She worked at the Charleston International Airport before retiring. Before that she worked at the Evans Rule in North Charleston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Lamar Pace, sisters Carol Annell Tinsley Pace, Dorothy Lee Saab Pace and daughter-in-law Susan Millen. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws, Steve Millen (Diane Millen) of Bishopville, Troy Millen (Janet Millen) of Summerville, Tracy Millen (Sandra Millen) of Summerville, Brian Millen of North Charleston, Bradley Millen (Sandy Millen) of Ladson, Dorothy Pace of Texas, William L. Saab of North Charleston and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah had (14) Grandchildren - Austin, Ashley, Troy Jr., Patrick, Mark, Courtney, Brian Jr., Jonathon, Samantha, Robbie, Matthew, Jason, Blake and Joey.

(14) Great grandchildren – Graycen, Keegan, Hayden, Hunter, Jordan, Levi, Lexi, Kathyrn, Jacob, Elle and Mary Ann.

(3) Step Grandchildren - Cody, Jordan and Owen.

(3) Step Great Grandchildren - Bryson, Caroline and Evelynn.

Sarah was very well cared for by her son Brian and was always checked in on by her Brother-in-law Bill Saab and also her daughter-in-laws Diane and Janet.

The viewing and services will start at 12:00 pm Saturday April 6th at Simplicity Funeral Services - 7475 Peppermill Parkway Suite E, North Charleston, SC 29418 off of Ashley Phosphate Rd. Burial will follow afterwards at Carolina Memorial off Rivers Ave.
