Obituary of David H Thomas
David H. Thomas, 71, of Charleston, S.C. entered into eternal rest at his residence on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019. He was born December 14th, 1947, in Granville N.Y. the son of Henry Thomas and Arlene (Brown) Covino.
He attended Poultney High School where he excelled in basketball. After leaving school, he relocated to Florida where he found employment with Walt Disney World; playing the character of Goofy. Later he relocated to SC. Using his craft; as a master printing press operator, he worked for various print shops until he and his wife purchased their printing business, in which he would work until his retirement.
He enjoyed playing pool and traveling with his wife to the Smoky Mountains.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Rebecca Hayes Thomas. Two sons Mark Thomas (Lindsey) Simpsonville SC, Clark Thomasson Charleston SC. Four daughters Deborah Coker (Joey), Charleston SC, Pamela Thomasson, Charleston SC, Kristy Gramling, Simpsonville SC. and Dana Thomas. 9 brothers and sisters, Michael (Betty) Thomas, Poultney VT, Robert (Eleanor) Thomas, South Windsor CT, Debra (Joe) Snyder, Fort Edward NY, Vincent (Julie) Covino, Middle Granville NY, Gina (John) Redden, Eagle Bridge NY, Patricia (Marc) Kretzer, Granville NY, James ( Lindsey) Covino, Granville NY, Thomas (Marny), Covino, Poultney, VT and Terry (Joe) Sinicropi, Malta NY. Grandchildren; Ashley, Britney, Trey, Noah, Eli, Cora, Ben and Hope and three great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services. (7475 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston, SC. 29418.)
A Memorial and celebration of life will be held June 14th, 3:00 PM at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
