Capt. Ted was woven together with the sea in his veins and the knowledge and yearning to catch the tradewinds in his sails. Ted grew up in Collingswood, NJ but spend most of his time on Long Beach Island, NJ where he was the owner of Fisherman’s Basin Marina. The Capt. was considered an authority of the Eastern Sea Coast and was invited to speak before Congress on the spawning of fish. Ted enlisted in the Navy. He was assigned to go on Admiral Byrds Last Expedition to Antarctica. He served as Radar Corpsman on that Ice Breaker for 3 years. The Capt. retired to Florida however retirement was not for him when he decided to take Gene Hackman's phone call and become Gene Hackman's private Captain. A friendship that lasted for many years. Living life to its fullest, boating, sports, fishing, traveling the world, celebrating life with his wife and friends. A life well lived and a spirit that will be missed.
