Obituary of Bradley Garth Millen
Bradley Garth Millen, age 54, of Summerville, passed away tragically on Friday morning, July 12, 2019. Born on July 5th, 1965, he was the youngest son of the late Edward C. Millen Jr. and the late Sarah Catherine Pace Millen. He was born and raised in North Charleston, and graduated from R.B. Stall High School in 1984. He also attended C.R.E.O.C., Trident Technical College, and worked for AAA Rentals. He won the state small engine championship in 1984, and went on to run a small engine business, B & E Welders, with his father for several years. He also worked as a welder, a mechanic, and a mobile home mover, until he was disabled from a work injury in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, NASCAR, and working on anything with a motor. Bradley was very well known in the community for his kindness and generosity and he always tried to help anyone that he could in any way that he could. He loved his family dearly and had many friends who loved him and will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Robertson Millen, his two sons, Robert Edward Millen and Matthew Garth Millen, and his precious fur babies Ginger, Snapper, and Sadie. He is pre-deceased by a sister, Debra Wheeler, and is survived by his 5 other siblings: Stephen Millen (Diane), Troy Millen (Janet), Tracy Millen (late Susan), Brian Millen, and Cathy Hatch (late Ron). 10 nephews: Austin, Mark, Troy Jr., Patrick, Brian Jr., Jonathon, Joey, Blake, Jason, and Giovi. 5 nieces: Ashley, Courtney, Samantha, Veronica, and Mary, and 15 great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at 6 PM on Thursday, July 18th, at Simplicity on Tall Pines frontage road in Ladson. Funeral Services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in his name to the SPCA or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
