My condolences to the Green family. I know this is a difficult time and I pray God continues to comfort and strengthen the family during this time of bereavement. May the many cherished and loving memories of Donald continue to comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Isaiah 25:8 "He (GOD) will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." May you all have calming and loving thoughts during this time.

The Light of Hope
When a loved one dies we are left with a hole in our hearts that no-one is able to fill. It is a void that feels so deep and at times seems never ending. We want so badly to have them back because the pain is an open wound that just seems like it will never heal and our heart will never be whole again.
We know in our minds that our loved one is in a better place and as the bible says (2 Corinthians 5:8) “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” and what could be better than to be with God. But our heart still longs for them to be with us.
As we reach out to God and pour out our anguish and tell Him how we feel God’s heart aches for us. God comforts us and we start to feel peace and we can see the “Light of Christ” filling that empty space in our hearts with love and compassion.
The light of Christ maybe shown through others or felt when we are speaking with Him. We may even experience a miracle. No matter how, when, where, or through what-ever means, God’s love for us will prevail and it is through His love for us we find hope and know He will carry us onto a new way of life.
Yes, we still miss our loved one but also know God promises a place in heaven. Jesus Himself said; “I go to prepare a place for you in my Father’s house” (John 14:2). Heaven, a place where we will be reunited and He will wipe away every tear (Isaiah 25:8) and there shall be no more pain (Rev 21:4).
Love,
Patty
