Obituary of Thomas Chandler

Thomas E. Chandler, 82, formerly of Rutherfordton, NC passed away Monday, September 30 in Charleston, SC after a short illness.  He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia "Ginny" A. Chandler, and his 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He was born December 1, 1936 in Atlanta, GA to Charles W. and Esther Nette Chandler.  He was a proud U.S. Marine and member of the Marine Corps League of Rutherford County, NC.  There will be a private graveside service on Saturday, October 12 in Savannah, GA at the Laurel Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor to the American Cancer Society or a similar organization of your choosing.
