Obituary of Kari Ann Wiggins Whitson

Kari Ann Wiggins Whitson, 41, of Moncks Corner, entered the gate of heaven and received her wings on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 6:05 am.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2020. Visitation is at 11:00 am with service at 12:00pm.

Everyone is invited to the Jernigan House for a celebration of Kari’s Life.

Kari was born in Charleston, SC on September 28, 1978, daughter of Michael Keith Wiggins and Daneille Murchison Hostetter. She married the love of her life April 20, 2002 Justin Kain Whitson. They have two beautiful children Kaydence Augusta Whitson and Justin “Laine” Whitson. Kari leaves behind to cherish her: Justin Whitson (husband) Kaydence Whitson, (daughter) Laine Whitson (son). Her mother Daneille Murchison Hostetter, her father and stepmother, Michael Keith and Jenny Marie Wiggins. A stepsister and stepbrother, Rani Marie Geraci and Clyde Ernest Murphy, her grandmother Joan Mobley Wiggins aka “great JOJO”. Kari is predeceased by her grandfather L.C. Wiggins and grandmother Polly Murchison.

We are not her blood family but love and miss her with all our hearts. Terrie Smith Whitson mother–in–law. Philip Carl Whitson and Linda Matkey Whitson, father –in-law and mother in law. Michelle and Ryan Whitson (sister and brother–in-law) Kari is predeceased by her grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law.

Jesse (PaPa) and Arlene (Ga) Smith and Travis (Grandad) and Dottie (nana) Whitson. Kari has numerous Aunts and Uncles and cousins. All who love her dearly. They will miss all those cousin times they had together.

Kari was a softball mom, from cheering Kaydence on, telling Laine to get the bat, to keeping the score book. She worked for Berkeley County School District. Currently at Cane Bay Elementary as their bookkeeper. Along the way she made many friends, all have reached out to her family. Prayers, support and gifts have been greatly appreciated.

Kari was truly blessed to have all of you in her life. Be Kind, tell someone you love them.
