Obituary of Nancy Carole Person

Nancy Carole Person, beloved wife of Warren for 55 years, passed away this week from Esophageal Cancer. From their humble beginnings in Long Island, NY, they had a wonderful 55 year marriage and achieved many great experiences they never dreamed possible. Many cruises,visiting other countries and a summer home in Lenox, Mass to name a few.They raised two fine children and have four grandchildren. Nancy always thought of others first, loved her children and grandchildren, opened their home and heart to all. She was a nurse, graduating from Mercy College in NY. She was a ‘hobby’ person. Nancy always kept herself busy doing many hobbies. She enjoyed sewing, wood working and glass sun catcher making. Her favorite hobby was cooking, which she became very good at and enjoyed providing many dinners to friends and family. Nancy always provided a wonderful meal 24/7.

For the last seven weeks, Nancy was in hospice care at home provided by Hospice Care of the Low Country in Bluffton, SC.  The family is grateful for the support, the quality of the nursing staff and the timely responsiveness to their needs that this hospice organization has provided. Anyone wishing to donate to the this organization in Nancy’s name may do so at  Hospice Care of the Lowcountry It would be greatly appreciated.
