Obituary of JoAn Marie Agoney

JoAn Marie Agoney (Carr) passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on July 31^st 2020 in Charleston SC. JoAn was born to Joseph P Carr and Dorothy Carr (Hoffman) on June 26, 1948 in Carthage New York.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Richard L Agoney and by her three children she had from her first marriage to Gary W Woodside Sr. (deceased), Son Gary W Woodside Jr in Bonneau SC,  Daughters Joline Lacomb (Frank) in Carthage New York and Gina Rader (Darren) in Carlton KS & her Sister Donna Rivers, Brother Mark Joseph Carr (Barbara)and step-sister Linda Birchmeyer (Dennis) in New York.  She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son John Fredrick, 3 brothers, Robert Carr, William C Carr and Kenneth F LaValley and 2 sisters, Karen Peters, and Patricia Carr.

Growing up JoAn worked at the family’s Taxi Cab business (59 Taxi) where she was a dispatcher and at Arlene’s Diner next to her Step Mom (Arlene). She really enjoyed cooking and baking. She always made enough for an Army.

A private funeral service will be held at the family’s convenience. Her final resting place will be at the Banner Cemetery in Elmo KS.

Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services Summerville.
