Obituary of Sue (Bernice) Hallex

Sue (Bernice) Hallex, 73, of Summerville, SC passed away with her family by her side on May 28, 2021.

A Memorial Service will be held June 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Summerville, SC.

Sue was born June 10, 1948 daughter of BM and Quinelle Carter.

She is survived by two daughters and a son:  Joanne Linog (Ernie) of Johns Island, SC, Joyce Polk of Johns Island, SC and Shawn Hinson (Erin) of Hamstead, NC;  Eight Grandchildren:Josh (Leigh), Michael (Lau), Ellie (Wil) Aggeles and Tony (Emily) Linog, Tamara (Riley) Bartlett, Alec Russell and Conner and Caleb Hinson and a host of great grandchildren.

She is also survived by sisters and a brother:  Gail Rusch (Bill), Mike Carter (Debbie), Elaine Turner, Peggy Humerickhouse (Earl) and Kay White (Bill).  She preceded in death by siblings Sandra Lawson and Randy Carter.

She loved traveling and spending time with her family.  Sue and her sister (faithful side kick) Elaine, lovingly enjoyed many travel adventures these past years.  She lived life to the fullest and said, "I did it my way!"

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Francis Nursing Team for their outstanding care.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
