Leslie Colleen “Coby” Segars Chubb
On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Leslie Colleen “Coby” Segars Chubb, 59, was called into the loving arms of her Savior. In addition to her loving husband, David Thomas Chubb, “Coby” is survived by three children, Thomas Chubb, Taylor Chubb, Dr. Samantha Chubb, a grandson, Waylon Chubb, and a very special nephew, Kaden Segars, all of Summerville. She is also survived by her parents, Douglas and Judy Segars, of Summerville, a sister, Charleen Segars Smith (Jeff), and a brother, Michael L. Segars (Joy), all of Summerville. “Coby” is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Finley J. and Leslie (Lessie) Segars, as well as her maternal grandparents, Clarence L. Oliver and Marie Ward Singletary.
“Coby” graduated from R. B. Stall High School and was an alumna of Anderson College. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, she was a devoted Christian and member of Northwood Church in Summerville.
“Coby” was an active member of the Charleston Association of Realtors and had a very successful career in real estate sales over the past 24 years, establishing “The Coby Chubb Group” with Carolina One Real Estate Company in 2013. During the course of her career, she garnered numerous awards and accolades and was among the first attendees of John Brewer’s Ninja Installation Program which helped facilitate other agents onto successful careers in the business. “Coby” was very proud to be named a Top Producer as recently as this year, in the midst of serious health challenges. Kimberly Greco was her long term valued associate.
Although the battle is over, “Coby” fought her disease with grace and dignity over the past four years. In the face of insurmountable odds, her tenacity and perseverance was inspirational to those around her. Heaven has gained a very special Angel.
Service will be held Monday, June 7th at Northwood Church, located at 4020 2nd Ave., Summerville, SC, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation with family will be held one hour prior to church service. Burial to follow at Plantation Memorial, located at 3345 S. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC.
