Obituary of Henry M Schultz Jr.

Henry M. Schultz Jr., Folly Beach - 91, husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Schultz, of Folly Beach, passed away early Monday morning, June 21, 2021. Visitation with family will be held at 1PM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Folly Beach Baptist Church, 77 Center Street, Folly Beach, SC 29439 with funeral services beginning at 2PM. Grave side services will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 7113 Rivers Avenue, N. Charleston.

Born in Meggett, S.C. on April 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Henry and the late Viola Schultz.

He loved the Lord, his family, hunting and fishing, cooking for others and loved his dogs. Henry was a member of Folly Beach Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Past Building and Grounds Chairman, Past Chef of Church Ministries as well as had maintained the church grounds for many years.

He retired from Westvaco Paper Mill after 42 years of service and served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife of 69 years, he leaves: sons, Michael Schultz (Marie), Ivan Schultz (Linda) and daughters, Jenny Schultz George (Gary) and Jill Schultz; Grandchildren, Michele, Chad, Austin, Autry and Savannah; 7 Great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Schultz, and sister, Georgeanna Heatley as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Flowers will be accepted at Folly Beach Baptist Church or memorials may be made to Folly Beach Baptist Church or Promedica/Heartland Hospice of Charleston.
