Obituary of James Robert Dawson

James Robert Dawson, 71, of Summerville, SC passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2021.

Born in Bedford, VA, he served with honor in the United States Navy and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran before making South Carolina home.  

His heart and soul were made of gold. He was a true blessing to anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved his 2 grandchildren, Bella and Kendall, and his 3 cats more than life itself!

He is survived by  2 sons and 2 grandchildren, Nathan Dawson and wife Ashley, with granddaughters Bella and Kendall, of Summerville, SC; Taylor Dawson and wife Shanon, of Ellenboro, NC; 

2 sisters, Wanda Ruprecht of North, SC and Sue Brown of Madison Heights, VA;

 2 brothers, Edward Dawson of Madison Heights, VA and Richard Dawson, Jr.of King and Queen Court House, VA.  

He was predeceased by his wife, Belinda, his mother, Frances, and his father, Richard.
