Obituary of Evelyn Marie Peake
Evelyn Marie Peake, 62, of Hanahan, passed away at home on July 11th, 2021 after a long illness. Her husband and son were at her side at the time of her passing. Evelyn attended Bonds- Wilson High School and was a housewife. She enjoyed traveling and feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard before she became too ill to do so. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and will be sadly and deeply missed by her husband and son. Words cannot express the terrible grief and emptiness felt by them as well.
Evelyn was born on March 18th, 1959 in Charleston, SC. She is predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Elden R. Gilmore, and a brother, Elden L. Gilmore. She is survived by her husband, Michael R. Peake of Hanahan, SC, and a son Michael R. Peake, Jr. also of Hanahan. Surviving also is a brother, Clyde Gilmore of Walterboro, SC along with several nieces and nephews.
No memorial service has been planned. However, anyone wishing to make a donation on her behalf may do so to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
