Obituary of Darlene Ann Sherman Cousins

Darlene Ann Sherman Cousins GOOSE CREEK - On Monday, August 30, 2021, Darlene Cousins, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called home at the age 78. Born May 17, 1943, in San Mateo, California, to Betty )Kehl)  and Thomas Sherman. She was a graduate of Monrovia High School in Monrovia, California. Darlene is survived in death by her loving husband, Howard, of 54 years. Darlene ran the concession stands for both Goose Creek High School and Men-Riv Park for 30 years. She was also active in the Navy Wives' Club and worked at the Castaway Thrift Shop on the Naval Weapons Station for many years. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Kehl Hill and her stepfather Allan Hill,  and father Thomas Sherman and stepmother Florence (Borman) Sherman; brother, Thomas Sherman; and grandson, Dalton. She is survived by her sisters, Miriam Denam (Harvey) , Diana Berry, & Maryann Constantino and her children, Katheryn Brennan (Jim), Thomas Cousins (Danna), Kimberlyn Plumb (David), Tammilyn Haselden (Chuck), and Timothy Cousins (Elizabeth). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Siobhan, Shaina (David), Shannon, Pamela(Marc), Jeffrey (Crystal), Haley, Danniella, Ana, Megan (Colin), Alyssa, Arrick, Remington, Abbygail, Cheyenne, Isaiah, Brianna, and Alexandrya, and great-grandchildren, Kris, Ryleigh, Claira, Everett, Gavin, Catherine, Adalyn and Kayla. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to many family members and friends who have supported them during this difficult time. She leaves behind many family and friends who will treasure her accomplishments and memories. The family will have a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek on September 14, 2021, starting at 5pm. Arrangements by Simplicity  :Lowcountry cremation and burial service.- Ladson
