After graduating from Fairhaven High School, Fairhaven, MA, Don was proud to have served in the US Air Force from 1955 to1959 as a flight mechanic stationed in Leon, France.  He enjoyed visiting his favorite city, Paris, as often as possible.  After his service, he graduated from colleges in CT with a BS degree, an MS degree and an advanced degree. He spent the next 31 years teaching Graphic Communications and as Department Chairperson of Industrial Education before retiring from the Danbury CT Public School System.  Don loved teaching and his students.

After retirement he moved to Summerville, SC with his devoted wife where he spent the last 21 years enjoying life at Pine Forest Country Club.  Don loved to play tennis, enjoyed the company of friends and family as well as the many cultural activities Charleston has to offer.  He was a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels for 7 years and was a life-long avid fan of the NY Yankees and New England Patriots.  Don was a very loving man, gentle, kind, always a smile on his face and devoted to his family.  He will be missed.
