Obituary of William J Cody

William J Cody (Bill) passed on September 10, 2021 in his home in Summerville, SC. He was 82 years old.

Bill was born in Staten Island, NY in 1939. He served in the US Army before marrying his sweetheart Laura. Bill and Laura were married for 58 years. They had three children–Bill, Cheryl and Scott. After a successful career in the steel industry, Bill and Laura retired to South Carolina. More than anything, Bill enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren Dan, David, Mary, Tom, Isabel and Ian.

Bill will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He was the life of the party. His jokes and hijinks brought smiles to the faces of friends and strangers alike.

Bill loved his family, he loved to golf, and he loved to read. He was unflinchingly fearless and courageous.
