Obituary of Marylee Williams

Marylee the daughter of the late Malcolm E. Doiley and the late Hattie Mae Murray Doiley, was born on September 7, 1930 in Murraysville, South Carolina.  She departed this life on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

“Ma”, or “Granny”, as she was affectionately called, received her education in the public schools of Berkeley County.  She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Thomas Reformed Episcopal Church in Murraysville. 

Marylee was employed at The Berkeley County Hospital for many years until her retirement.  She was blessed with Mae Frances and Delim. Mae Frances was blessed with Somona. Mae Frances married Clifford Ferrell and was blessed with Shakira. Somona was blessed with Kayla and David. Delim married Velma and was blessed with Iris Nicole. Nicole married Scott Anderson and was blessed with Myka and Joshua. Delim later married Idorenyin and was blessed with Rabi’ah. Mary Lee married Alvin Heyward Sr. and was blessed with Alvin Jr. and Minnie. Alvin married Roxanne and was blessed with Chris and Brandon. Minnie married Kenneth Chapman and was blessed with Curtis and Clifford. Minnie later married Willie Chavis. Mary Lee was blessed with Arthur, Patricia, Audrey and Naomi. Arthur married Maureen and was blessed with Crystal and Al. Arthur later married Tonya. Patricia married Lamar Pryor and was blessed with Patrick. She later married Carl Butler and was blessed with Brittany. Audrey was blessed with Jamaica “Trice”. Audrey married Charles Mitchell. Naomi married Luther Weston Douglas. Mary Lee later married Isiah Williams who pre-deceased her.

Marylee leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
