Obituary of Roberta S Bunch

Roberta S. Bunch was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She left this world at the age of 83 years on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from natural causes after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. 

 

Roberta was born to Fannie Sweat on May 14th, 1938 in Summerville.  She was preceded by death by her late husband, Bennie Lee Bunch Sr and her daughter, Pamela B. Poston. Roberta lived a life surrounded by family and enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren and pets.  She was a talented seamstress and excellent cook.  Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and checkers.

 

Roberta is survived by her son, Bennie L. Bunch Jr with wife Cynthia Bunch and son Paul Bunch.  She had six grandchildren: Candice Barrera/Pete, Jennifer Beach/Scott, Nikki Childers/Steve, Matthew Bunch/Florcil, Shaun Bunch/Rachel, and Dana Nguyen/Tan.  She loved snuggling with her 13 great-grandchildren: Austin, Robert, Shelby, Karis, Kohen, Penny, Brigham, Noah, CJ, Sophie, Maci, Liam and Luka. They, along with many, will greatly miss this talented and loving woman.

 

A memorial service is scheduled for 4 pm on October 23, 2021 at Boone Hill United Methodist Church on Boone Hill Road in Summerville.  The family would like to invite everyone to share a meal and remember Roberta in the church social hall after service.
