Hazel Ann Lightsey Carothers died November 4, 2021.  She was 79 years old and the widow of Howard Kenneth Carothers Sr. of Moncks Corner South Carolina. She died at Trident Hospital of complications of the heart.

Visitation will be on Monday November 8, 2021, from 6-8 Pm, at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services Ladson SC. The service will be November 9, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Simplicity in Ladson, SC. Following is the graveside burial at Plantation Memorial Gardens on 17A Moncks Corner SC.

Hazel Ann Carothers was Born January 2, 1942, in Hampton SC. She is the daughter of the late William Charles Lightsey           and Annie Mae Cope Lightsey.

She is survived by her sister Annie Selena Beemster her brother Daniel Joseph Lightsey. Her four children are Wanda Beach, Howard Kenneth Carothers jr. (Barbara) Dena Roach (Greg) and Debbie Clevenger (Larry).

Her Grand children are Jason C, Bryan, Andrew, Zack, Jason P Kristen, Andrea, Christopher, Dylan and Mindi. She also has 16 great grandchildren.

Hazel and Kenneth were happily married 59 years. They loved their family more than anything. She and Kenny were devout Christians and members of New Covenant Church of God. Early in their ministry they started several churches. They lived a happy life and enjoyed being with people who became long lasting friends.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
