Obituary of Rose Marie Craven

Rose Marie Stone Craven died Monday, January 10,2022, peacefully, at her residence.
Rose was born in Farmington, Illinois on January 29, 1938, the daughter of Orin Gene Stone and Mildred Louise Smith Stone.

She attended Chicora High School in Charleston,South Carolina and married James Augustus Craven at Lee Chapel, Key West, Fl. Together they had four children. Rose enjoyed all things family. She was a renowned cook and catered for many years.

Rose is survived by her children: Gregg A. Craven (Uyen) of Bonita Springs, Fl.,Lisa M. Campbell of Charleston, SC.,Linda Tingley (Skip) of Pooler, Ga., her sister, Judith A. Henriquez (Armando) of Key West Fl., brother Dennis A. Stone (Nancy) of Weeki Wachee, Fl., Sister-in-law Frances Craven of Charleston, SC., Stephanie Stone of Summerville, SC., Grandchildren Catherine McKenzie (Richard) of Summerville, SC., Morgan Bauer of Ravenel, SC., Coty Gargone (Brian) of Johns Island,SC., Tatum Ellington (Joseph) of Pooler, Ga., Christian Tingley of Pooler, Ga., and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were all deeply loved by Rose. Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Orin G. Stone, sister, Winifred Baldwin, and her daughter, Laura Bauer.

 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Simplicity Lowcountry, North Charleston Chapel.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
