Obituary of John E Mixson, Sr.

John E Mixson Sr, age 66, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on the 25th of January 2022. Born December 2, 1955, in Charleston, SC, he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him. John loved his family, music, motorcycles and was an avid history buff - a proud member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was also a faithful member of the Lawriders and served as Chaplin.

Mr. Mixson was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Mixson.

Surviving include his mother, Rowena Chapman, Stepfather, Bob Chapman, his loving wife of 44 years, Ginny Mixson, sister Debbie Paulson and husband Jim; three children, Angela Johnson and husband Dave, Randolph Davis and wife Anna; Johnny Mixson and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Alyssa Lafond, Barry Johnson, Jack Johnson, John Anthony Mixson, and Laina Mixson; great grandchild, Laila Johnson.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 1:00, at Greater Heights Church of God of Prophecy, 2625 S Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
