Obituary of Sally McMillan

Sally Young McMillan , 69 , of Summerville , South Carolina passed away August 21, 2018. She was born on September 30, 1948 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to William Finger McMillan and Millicent Young McMillan.   She attended Brenau Academy in Gainesville, GA and Coker College in Harstville, SC. She had a long and full life as a loving mother and grandmother, a school teacher, a banker and a lay reader at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She most recently worked as a Passport Specialist at the Charleston Passport Center where she received 2 Franklin Awards for her service.  

Sally is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Legette (Jeff) and her two grandchildren, Parker Clay and Adelaide Young "Addie" Legette, her brother, William F. McMillan, Jr (Shelby), her nephew, William F. "Bill" McMillan III (Kim) and her great-nieces Carson and Shealy McMillan. 

She was preceded in death by her son Jesse Clifton "Cliff" Marcengill (Sandy) and her parents William F and Millicent McMillan.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of her life at 1425 Headquarters Plantation Dr., Johns Island, SC on Saturday, August 25th from 2pm - 4pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Charleston Animal Society .

Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services in Summerville.
