Obituary of Robert P. Danis

Robert (Bob) P. Danis, age 67 passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022. 

He was born on February 20th, 1954 in Norwich, CT and lived in Moosup, CT most of his life where he raised his children, worked every day and coached little league baseball. He retired from International Paper and moved to Charleston in 1998. His love of fishing brought him to the Folly Pier where he made lasting friendships, volunteered at kid’s tournaments, broke records, found new love and made so many memories for everyone. He was loved by all, would talk to or help anyone and always left you laughing and smiling. He will be truly missed but will live on in our hearts and through our memories. 

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie, 5 children: Matt (Nichole), Steve (Shannon), Sara (Jason), Michael (Andrea), and Tyler, 11 grandchildren: Leah, Ashlee, Avery, Madison, Rhiley, Lilly, Reese, Derek, Greyson, Dakota and Emma, 3 siblings: Norman (Lori), Lucy (Norman) and Andy, nieces, nephews and adopted family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Delores. 

Honoring Bob’s requests, there will be no service, burial will be private and donations can be made to: Moosup Little League, PO Box 249, Plainfield, CT 06374 in honor of Robert Danis.
