Obituary of Herbert Glenwood Stegall

Herbert Glenwood Stegall, 71, passed away on Monday August 27th, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at Trident Regional Medical Center. 

Herbert was born on August 17th, 1947 in Danville VA to Claude and Maggie (Seamster) Stegall.   He married his high school sweetheart Francis Lillian Stegall (Davis) on Jan 3rd, 1969. 

He joined the United States Navy at age 17 and proudly served his country for nearly 30 years.  While he was proud of his service to his country, he was even prouder of his sons Tobie Duane Stegall (Kelly) of Goose Creek and Eric Glenwood Stegall of Holly Hill.  He would tell you his biggest pride and joys were his grandchildren Cody Duane Stegall, Joseph Cory Stegall, Kaitlin Jean Stegall and Daisy Marie Stegall.

In addition to his sons and grandchildren, Herbert is survived by his sisters Betty McArthur (John) of VA, Shirley Stegall (Kathryn) of Winston Salem, NC, his brother Jerry Stegall (Cynthia) of Hanahan, SC plus numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Herbert was predeceased by his parents Claude and Maggie, his baby brother Charles and his wife Lillian. 

Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services Summerville.
