Obituary of Brenda Sue Stacy

Brenda Sue Stacy, aged 74, has passed away at home in Summerville, SC, on February 27, 2022.   Brenda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Clayton (Clay) Clyde Stacy, by her daughter, Gail Stacy of Lutz, FL and son, Jonathan (John) Lee Stacy (Shay) of No. Charleston, SC. 

Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Orie and Phyllis Burns.  Survivors include her siblings, Victoria (Vic) Thompson (John, dec’d.), Teresa McQuinn (Butch, dec’d.), Clifford (Cliff) Burns (Vicki), Thomas (Tom) Burns (Shelly), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda was born in Middletown, OH on November 18, 1947.  She graduated from Monroe High School in 1965.   She was an Administrative Assistant for many years, working in the mental health area, and worked with preservation of artifacts at The Citadel Museum in Charleston.   Prior to retiring, Brenda was a notorious PI in the greater Charleston area.  She loved her family and many friends (fur babies included).  She was an accomplished artist, which was evident in her beautiful art work and ceramic pieces.  She received great joy from giving these items as gifts to her loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11^th at 12:00 followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services, 281 Treeland Drive, Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Berkeley County ASPCA.
