Obituary of Anita Louise McHone

Anita Louise O’Bryan McHone of Summerville, SC, age 86, was called to her eternal home in Heaven on September 15, 2018.

Following high school, she graduated from National Business College in Roanoke, VA.  She enjoyed a successful working career spanning many years and retired from the Robert Bosch

Corporation in Charleston, SC.

As dance crazes swept the nation in the 1950’s, Joe McHone, Jr. jitterbugged his way into Anita’s life and heart and they were married on May 1, 1958 in Dillon, SC.

Anita was a member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC where she served as the Missions Committee Chairperson and as part of the Nurture and Care Council offering support for the various needs of people inside and outside the Church.  She loved her Lord and that relationship enabled her to love those around her unconditionally and with passion.  She was an encourager with finely tuned listening skills. She was naturally kind and courteous, a cheerful giver of flowers and food, of her time and her tea. She was an avid reader, nature lover, birdwatcher and she enjoyed traveling. She was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels in her local community.
