Obituary of Patricia Scherrer

Patricia Scherrer died at her home in Bluffton, SC on April 18, 2022.  "Pat" was born on April 26, 1952 in Bethesda, MD , the daughter of Robert A. Scherrer, Sr. and Barbara Ann Griffith Scherrer.  The fourth of eight siblings, Patricia lived in Bethesda and Italy before the family settled in Norfolk, VA.  Patricia graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School and attended Old Dominion University before working in the banking and brokerage industries as a sales assistant in Norfolk, Tampa, and Hilton Head. 

Nurturing by nature, Pat cared for birds, a gerbil, bunnies, and dogs.   Patricia also took care of her parents in their declining years.  She is predeceased by her parents and siblings John Scherrer and Barbara Lynn Scherrer.  She is survived by siblings Robert A. Scherrer, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Ann Scherrer Lyle of Annandale, VA, Elizabeth Scherrer of Apex, NC, Susan Toni Scherrer of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Virginia Scherrer Schellenberg of Alexandria, VA and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be sent to your local animal shelter or the Audubon Society.
