Harold “Gene” Womack

Harold “Gene” Womack passed away suddenly on 18 MAY 2022 at the age of 59, from a sudden heart attack. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and a cup of coffee. Despite all the pain he endured, he beat stage 4 renal cancer, and carried the scars of a true warrior until the very end.

Gene Womack was a Navy veteran with 8 Honorable years of dedicated service to the country he loved, but his service to his family and community did not end until his last breath was taken. Gene is survived by his beautiful wife of 36 years and his beloved dog Harley. Gene was the oldest sibling of three sisters: Teresa, Tracy, and Carlise; and one brother: Shane. He was a proud father of his daughter: Shanele with her husband Paul; and two sons: Lance with his wife Kourtney and Corey with his wife Dawn. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Riley and Cooper (Children of Shanele and Paul), Landon and Greyson (Children of Lance and Kourtney), as well as Baillie and Lyla (Children of Corey and Dawn). If there is anything Gene loved more than life itself, there is no question that it was his grandbabies.

Gene’s presence will forever be missed by all his family and friends, but his legacy will live on for all eternity through their hearts and souls. We may have lost an amazing legend, but he will never be forgotten. A memorial will be arranged to honor Gene Womack and all the amazing things he did for his family and community.
