Obituary of Douglas Edward Litchfield

Douglas Edward Litchfield, 89, passed away peacefully at home in Ladson, SC on June 20,2022.  He was born in Holly Hill, SC on May 24, 1933 to Joseph Litchfield and Johnnie Lightsey Litchfield Crapps.  Douglas is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Ada Tillery Litchfield, his sons Perry (Michele) of Charleston, Matthew (Gina) of North Charleston, Paul (Erin) of Tucson, AZ, and grandchildren Zachery (Paige) of Rochester, NY, Anna and Samuel of North Charleston, and Lexi and Jaxson of Tucson, AZ.  Douglas served in the Korean War with the Army and later served in the Air Force.  He retired in 1989 from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as an electronic mechanic technician after 25 years.  Services to be private.  Arrangements by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, Ladson, SC.
