Obituary of Rodger "Dell" Riddle Sr.

Rodger “Dell” Riddle Sr. (72) of Moncks Corner, SC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 3, 2022, surrounded in his home by his family.

 

Dell’s love for his surviving wife of 54 years, Susan Reeder Riddle, blossomed at a young age and produced an extended family who provided his greatest joy.  Cheryl Perry of Waterloo, Rebecca Jennings of Oaktie, Rodger Dell Riddle Jr. (Deanna) of Moncks Corner, and Jessica Riddle of Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

 

In addition to his children, he had ten grandchildren. Steven Bowie, Brandon Bowie, Amber Perry, Christian Bowers, Hailey Bowers, Emily Bowers, Ansley Riddle, Ashlynn Riddle, Walker Riddle, and Hudson Riddle. He also had nine great grandchildren.

He is survived by his three brothers, Kenny, Danny and Curt Riddle and three sisters Laurice Williamson, Judy Hart, and Carolyn Riddle. He was predeceased by his parents Walker Daniel Riddle and Nancy Jackson Riddle, brother Gerald Riddle of Lexington, SC and sister Sandra Cristophel of North Dakota, and daughter Sandra Michelle Riddle.

A love of all thing motorsport fueled his professional and personal interest.  As an Owner/Operator he traveled the open road always seeking new adventures.  In retirement his adventures came a quarter mile at a time along side his traveling companion and best friend, Dana Winters.

Dell was a Christian and loved God. A selfless man, his kind heart and loving nature were the hallmark to all he cared for.  These are the traits which his family will carry with them.

In life Dell’s greatest joy was his family.  In lieu of a memorial service the family will hold a private beachside gathering to celebrate his life.
