Obituary of Terressa (Terri) Lynn Simpson

Terressa (Terri) Lynn Simpson, 65, died July 12, 2022 following a brief illness. In lieu of a memorial service, a private gathering will be held at her home on James Island for close family.

Terri was born in Spartanburg, SC to Phil High Lynn and Maxcy Clinton Lynn. She grew up in Spartanburg, graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1974, and attended the University of South Carolina where she received her master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences. She had an illustrious career as a retail pharmacist with Rite Aid and CVS before becoming a compounding pharmacist for Medicine Man in Summerville, SC.

She married Madison James Simpson in 2001 and spent 18 loving years together before his passing in 2019. Together, they enriched the lives of everyone around them. Terri was known for her volunteer efforts with Meals on Wheels of Summerville and Cathedral of Praise. Loved by all, we remember her as a bright, compassionate light in this world who always lent an ear to listen. She was an endlessly supportive mother, wife, and friend.

Terri was predeceased by her husband, Madison James Simpson. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Leigh Iannace and Katelyn Marie Iannace (Caldin), her brother Maxcy Clinton Lynn, Jr. (Chris), and previous husband Dr. Robert Stephen Iannace, Jr. (Leslie)
