Melissa Cole

Obituary of Melissa Cole

Melissa Cole left our earth to join her Heavenly Father just minutes before the sun rose in the horizon on June 4th, 2022. Having been surrounded by her loving family and close friends the week leading up to her passing in the hospital, it gives great comfort to all that she did indeed go in peace.

Melissa was born on October 14, 1976 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  A true lover of God and his son Jesus, she bestowed the kindness she was taught through Him to all she came across. You always had a seat at her table. She would always lend an ear or a shoulder to cry or laugh on. She was quick with a joke or a witty comeback; all the while making you feel as if you were the most special person in the room. Her presence was unparalleled.

Melissa was very passionate of God, Family, and an Abolitionist for the unborn.

Melissa also loved music, sunflowers, and gatherings (among many others things). This pales in comparison to the love of her family. She raised three phenomenal children with her husband Chris, being Gabrielle, Malachi, and Regan, and so her precious fur babies. Her guidance, everlasting love, strong nature and compassion shall live within them forever more. In addition to them, she is survived by the Pruitt family of Charleston, South Carolina - Noah, Kelley, Isabella and Madeline.

Also, The Pingel’s of Appleton, Wisconsin - Peter, Kira and Alic Riedel.

Kip Rooney

Shane, Ralph and sister Kelley - all from Wisconsin.

A true shining light that greets her in Heaven, aside from her Lord God, is her sweet Momma Debra joined by her husband, Melissa’s Stepfather, Stanley.

There will be a service for Melissa at James Island County Park in the Wando Shelter on 8/26/2022 @ 6PM. Following that, a gathering for her Celebration of Life shall take place.

Due to the costs incurred by this unforeseen tragedy, the family will accept any monetary donations to lend a hand in moving forward. Donations will be used for the surviving children and medical bills.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nation's.
