Obituary of Kyzer Harry Hudson

Kyzer Harry Hudson passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home in Summerville, SC on the morning of August 24, 2022.

He was 90 years old. He was born in Sumter, SC on October 10,1931.

Kyzer was preceded in death by his parents, Timmy Hudson and Lottie Geddings Hudson of Sumter SC; his brother, Wilbur Hudson of Columbia, SC and his wife, the love of his life, Susie Evans Hudson of Wadmalaw Island, SC.

When Kyzer was growing up times were tough. He shared many stories with our family on how it was growing up without electricity, no inside bathrooms and having to heat by a wood stove. Kyzer and his friends would spend their time fishing, playing baseball and hunting with a sling shot and rocks.

Kyzer and Susie loved living on the lake. They spent time on their boat fishing and going swimming. They loved to have their families come and spend the weekend with them on the lake.

He was faithful by reading his Bible and praying to God each day.

Kyzer is survived by a daughter, Patsy Knight and a son Robby Hudson (Valerie). He was known as Granddaddy to Missy Knight, Dale Knight, Danyell Buero (Billy) and Micki Reddish; great Granddaddy to Wesley Thigpen (Kristen), Brandon Thigpen, Alex Knight, Taylor Knight and Stephanie Buero. He was also fortunate to have an 8-month-old great great granddaughter, Sydney Thigpen. He has two nieces and two nephews from Columbia SC.

Our family would like to thank Roper Hospice of Charleston SC for the great in-home care that Kyzer received. They were also supportive to his daughter caregiver, Patsy.
