Obituary of Andrew (Andy) Reilly

Born November 24th, 1948

Died September 9th, 2022 

 

Andrew Reilly 73 yrs of age of Goose Creek entered into eternal rest on 

Friday September 9th surrounded by his immediate family. The relatives 

and friends of Andy are invited to a Celebration of Life Mass at

The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 Saint James Avenue,

Goose Creek, SC 29445 followed by a luncheon at the church hall. 

Andy was born in Perth, Scotland - which is

also called "The Gateway to the Highlands."

 

Andy spent his first four years in the small

town of Dunkeld, Perthshire until his family

moved to Glasgow. In 1972, he married Mary

and in 1974 they welcomed their first child, a

daughter, Yvonne. In 1980, they welcomed

another child when their son, Andrew, was

born. 

His life was further blessed in 2008

with the birth of his grandchildren, Logan and

Andie.

 

In 1983, Andy and his family immigrated to

the United States and lived on Long Island,

New York until 2011 when he, along with his

wife Mary, retired to the Charleston area of

South Carolina. Andy's passion in life was

taking photographs. He loved the art of

photography and won several awards both in

New York and Charleston. Mary always said

he was the hardest working man she knew

and also the strongest. He had a great sense

of humor and will be missed by his family and

friends.
