Obituary of Mark Pope Tolbert

Mark Pope Tolbert II, age 59. Born November 16, 1962, Mark was called Home to our Lord on September 10, 2022 after a valiant battle with Cancer. 

 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Mark Pope Tolbert, grandmother Mary Eva (Whaley), Father Robert Redd Tolbert, and his Aunt Fay Tolbert. He is survived by his wife, Donna French of Walterboro, South Carolina, his mother, Barbara Parler Childs of Goose Creek, step siblings Andy and Jill Childs and numerous members of extended family and friends.

 

Mark grew up in Rockville on Wadmalaw Island, where he enjoyed boating and playing music.  He was a gifted musician and had a deep passion for sharing his gift with everyone. Music was his life. He was a man with a heart of gold, who always greeted you with a smile. Mark will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.
