Obituary of Jacqueline Clark Bennett

Jacqueline Clark Bennett: 89 of Goose Creek SC, Beloved Mother and Grandmother entered eternal rest on Saturday September 17, 2022, in her home after a protracted debilitating illness. She was born in Spartanburg SC on the grounds of the Spartan Textile Mill on August 18, 1933, to her Father; George Sylvester Clark, and Mother; Willa Mae Turner. Graduating from Spartanburg High School in 1950, she also attended and earned a diploma in Stenography and Secretarial Science from Trident Technical College in 1971.

She was married to James Benjamin Bennett Jr in August of 1951, who was in the United States Navy. Moving often, due to changing duty stations, they lived in San Diego, California and Atlanta, Georgia and St Petersburg, Florida before settling permanently in Goose Creek, SC.

She was a member of the Men-Riv Ladies Bowling League, and a league champion many times over. She worked for the United States Navy as a Clerk and Assistant for the Navy Exchange located on the Naval base in Men-Riv, retiring from that job after 23 years of Service.

She had attended Covenant Life Church until her debilitating illness no longer allowed her to travel. She was a wonderful, loving, and dedicated mother and wife. She always put her family’s needs before her own. She is survived by her 3 Children: James Benjamin Bennett III and his wife Barbara Bennett of Simpsonville, SC. Lynn Clark Bennett and his wife Laura Bennett of Blythewood, SC. Jeffrey Scott Bennett and his wife Miki Bennett of Charleston, SC. Grandchildren Autumn Lynne Bennett of Goose Creek, SC. Matthew Tyler James Bennett of Ladson, SC. Christopher Bennett of Blythewood, SC. Holly Wise and husband Same Wise, and 1 great grandchild Garret James Wise. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted on September 23, 2022, at:
